An important part of the service many clients don’t consider is meeting legal obligations, most of which require you to have door and industrial shutters regular maintained and checked, especially if they act as fire doors or exits. Of course, we also keep our clients informed of any changes under the law and can help them understand if changes affect them or require any changes or upgrades to their commercial shutters and doors.

Some of the key current legislation includes HSE Regulation 18, PUWER Regulation 5 and Workplace Health and Safety 1992 which all require regular inspections and maintenance of shutters and doors, and keeping of a maintenance log book. Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005 demands the same with particular attention on commercial fire safety doors and BS EN 12635:2002 lays out further maintenance requirements and quality standards on installation, operation and documentation.
